Certfications and Affiliations

  1. A.C.E - Personal Trainer
  2. Belmont University - Bachelor's Degree

Growing up the youngest of seven boys in South Texas, Phillip has always had a competitive spirit.   He played almost every sport until high school where he focused all of his energy into football.  His senior year however, he suffered a knee injury that would re-direct his focus on fitness.  He credits his brothers for being his first inspirations for fitness.  They grew up with a physically unhealthy father, which pushed them to keep a healthy, active lifestyle.

After high school Phillip moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a business degree from Belmont University.  He started training as a student trainer, which would be the beginning of his career.  The real motivation came a few years later when he and his brothers finally lost their father to poor health.  He knew then he wanted to help people not only prolong their life with a healthy diet and exercise regimen, but to improve the quality of living.  After graduation, Phillip attained his personal training certification from the American Council of Exercise (A.C.E.) and began training full time.

During his time as a trainer in Nashville, Phillip interned and eventually worked at a local sports training facility called D1 Sports where he learned to become and strength, speed and conditioning coach.  There, he worked with people of all ages and athletic backgrounds, helping them to achieve their individual athletic potential.  He also began training at local personal training studios working one on one with clients, helping them pursue their fitness goals.  After two and half years of training full time, he made the move to Las Vegas, where joined Vaughan Fitness where he really connected with the philosophies of Forget The Gym.   Since being with Vaughan Fitness, Phillip has really enjoyed working one on one with people, helping them to reach their personalized fitness goals.  Phillip has worked with people from ages 10 to 80, all with different health and fitness backgrounds.  Phillip specializes in weight control, interval training, flexibility, balance training, bodyweight resistance, free weights and cardio core training.

Yoga Instructor

Kimberly Castello, E-RYT

The first time I stepped onto a yoga mat felt like going home.  Practicing yoga is the most natural thing I have ever done.  I have never felt more connected, grounded, or balanced in my life than when I am on my yoga mat.  My journey began merely for physical reasons.  I never imagined how similar the practice of yoga would be to the challenges of our daily lives.  Discovering the flow of our breath, mind, and body in yoga is no different than trying to find an even flow within our lives.  When we find a sense of evenness within our breath, we will find greater ease within our lives!

Yoga continuously teaches me the importance of listening to our bodies. When we take the time to listen to our bodies, we begin to develop physical and mental awareness. This awareness allows us to treat others and ourselves with patience and kindness. Through my yoga practice, I found patience that I did not know I had. The physical postures (Asanas) became an awakening for my soul. I realized that looking beyond "how far can I stretch" or "what difficult postures can I hold," taught me to accept the true benefits of my practice. Physically there are times I feel there is an inner voice that is whispering "slow down, treat yourself with care." But I know this voice is not just referring to the yoga postures I am practicing on my mat. There are times when this same thought should be applied to our daily routines. In today's society, we are constantly pushing ourselves and racing around attempting to fit so many things into one moment. We must remind ourselves to slow down and breathe! When we let go of our expectations, we allow ourselves to enjoy the journey. We can do this if we learn to remain present On and Off of Our Mats!

I am truly GRATEFUL for the experience of Teaching Yoga!  It has changed my LIFE Beyond anything I can explain.  I learn about myself (as a Teacher, Student, and Human Being) from my students every time I teach.  I love and appreciate the energy and connection I receive from my students in every class!

Kimberly first found her love for yoga in the late 90's and has been guiding students to inner peace ever since. With her flowing vinyasa classes, her intention is to facilitate openness, freedom through movement, as well as serenity within her students. Guided by yoga masters such as Judith Hanson Lasater and Anne Van Valkenburg, Kimberly's hallmark is vinyasa sequences with a range of asana options that vary in depth and intensity to meet the different needs of her students. Her beautiful teaching style, soothing voice and graceful demonstrations inspire students to fully experience the mind body connection and find their edge.  Her focus on safety and alignment combined with her creative Vinyasa Sequences brings the opportunity for growth and compassion within her students.  In addition, she integrates Restorative Sequences into her classes that allow her students to develop a deeper state of awareness, connection to their breath, and the ability to Relax Completely. Students leave her classes with renewed energy, stillness and balance.

Kimberly is a 200 Hr Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance.  She is a YogaWorks and a YogaFit Trained Instructor.  In addition, she received her Restorative Teacher Training through Judith Hanson Lasater.  Kimberly is currently pursuing her 300 hrs through Leeann Carey Yoga. Kimberly teaches Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, and Pre & Post Natal Yoga.  She Teaches Group Classes, Privates, Semi-Privates, Workshops and Retreats.
